Rajesh Khanna’s granddaughter Naomika Saran set for Bollywood debut opposite Amitabh Bachchan’s grandson Agastya Nanda

Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh Bachchan, one of Bollywood’s most iconic duos, shared screen space in classics like Anand and Namak Halaal. Now, their grandchildren are set to team up on the big screen. As per the latest buzz, Naomika Saran, granddaughter of Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia, will make her Bollywood debut in a romantic comedy alongside Agastya Nanda, grandson of Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan. The film is backed by producer Dinesh Vijan, who continues the trend of introducing fresh on-screen pairings.

Rajesh Khanna's granddaughter Naomika Saran and Amitabh Bachchan's grandson Agastya Nanda will star in a rom-com produced by Maddock Films, according to PeepingMoon. The film will be directed by Jagdeep Sidhu, known for Punjabi hits like Qismat, Qismat 2, and Shadaa. This marks Sidhu’s Bollywood directorial debut, though he has previously contributed as a dialogue writer for Saand Ki Aankh and Srikanth.

Ahead of her debut, Naomika Saran has drawn attention for her striking resemblance to her grandmother, Dimple Kapadia. She is the daughter of Rinke Khanna and businessman Sameer Saran.

Agastya Nanda made his debut with Netflix’s The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar, alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, and Yuvraj Menda. After earning praise for his performance, he will next be seen in Ikkis, where he stars alongside Dharmendra and Jaideep Ahlawat.

Directed by Sriram Raghavan, the film chronicles the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal. Produced by Maddock Films, further details about the project remain under wraps.
